Joseph Campbell on Star Wars and the Power of Myth

In 1988 the US public broadcaster PBS aired a six-part interview between journalist Bill Moyers and professor Joseph Cambpell called Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth. Most of the series was filmed at George Lucas's Skywalker Ranch and Star Wars came up from time to time in the discussion, as the clip embedded above demonstrates. PBS is re-airing this series in March 2012 and has posted this excerpt to YouTube to promote it.

My mother loved this series and I did, too. We had it on VHS and watched it often. I haven't seen it in many years but I expect it has held up well.
