"I Have A Bad Feeling About This" film in production
"I Have a Bad Feeling About This" is an indepdent, IndieGoGo-supported feature film now in production in Liverpool. From the web site:
“I Have a Bad Feeling About This” is a quirky, up beat, buddy-comedy/Sci Fi Adventure. The story follows the exploits of Andy and Sam. Two Star Wars obsessed slackers in their early twenties, living in the suburbs of Liverpool. Sam is soon to be leaving Andy to go to University, but before they part ways for good, Andy and Sam must embark on a journey to the furthest reaches of town, to try and find a pair of tickets to a one off showing of the original Star Wars trilogy. Along the way they meet dodgey ticket touts, angry yoga instructors, deranged thieves, clueless police, the suburban Mafia and a dangerous Lightsaber wielding madman.
In the tradition of “Spaced” and “Clerks” and with a dollop of “The Inbetweeners” for good measure. “I Have a Bad Feeling About This” is a feel good tale about friends, not wanting to grow up and realising that sometimes… you don’t really have to. This would be a film that hasn’t been attempted in this part of the world before. Spoken with an unheard voice and taken from a fresh perspective.
The Liverpool Echo reports on the film's progress, including an endorsement from Mark Hamill:
THREE filmmakers have started making their first full-length feature after winning the support of Star Wars fans around the world and earning praise from Luke Skywalker himself.
Producer Laura Purcell, 29 and the writer/director team of Alan Donohoe and Jamie Williamson used international “crowd funding” website Indiegogo to raise more than £10,000.
That funding has allowed the trio to start filming the Star Wars-inspired “I Have A Bad Feeling About This” – and they are confident their coming-of-age tale will win a global fanbase among fans of the original smash hit sci-fi films.
...
The Bad Feeling project even won support on Twitter from Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy.
